From July 1st to 4th, the "Future City Workshop: Academic Journal Writing and Publication" jointly organized by our institute and Urban Rail Transit journal was successfully held. The workshop aims to promote the publication of international topics related to sustainable urbanization in high-level journals, improve the publishing capacity of young teachers and graduate students, and better conduct multilateral exchanges around the United Nations New Century Agenda (New Urban Agenda) and the Sustainable Cities Initiative in SDG, and jointly discuss the challenges of urbanization facing developing countries.

          The invited teachers include three professors of WANG Xinhao, Rainer vom Hofe and Christopher Auffrey from the DAAP School of the University of Cincinnati, which have a history of cooperation for 30 years; Professor SONG Yan at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill); Also including Professor Han Haoying from the City University of Macau, who has just signed a cooperation agreement with our university; It also includes Associate Professor Chen Na, director of the Department of Public Administration at the School of Politics and Public Affairs Management, Sun Yat-sen University, And Associate Professor Fu Xin, dean of Urban and Rural Planning, School of Landscape Architecture, Northwest A & F University. In addition to the young teachers of our college and international students in the English Master's program of Urban and Rural Planning of the Ministry of Commerce, the workshop audience also included 9 doctoral and master students from City University of Macau.

          This activity was organized by Research Direction 3. Through the workshop, young teachers and graduate students were familiar with the major English journals in the urban field, mastered the basic requirements of English academic journals, developed good habits of literature review and reading, and provided a platform for exchanging academic ideas and improving their research ability.

          The School of Architecture and Art of Beijing Jiaotong University will continue to pay attention to the research trends in the field of urban sustainable development, and plans to hold more similar academic activities in the future. At the same time, the School will continue to strengthen cooperation with universities and scientific research institutions at home and abroad to jointly promote research and development in the field of sustainable urban development.
