This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. To strengthen international exchanges and promote cooperation with universities in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries, on the morning of July 2, 2024, the School of Architecture and Art invited Professor EWE HONG TAT, President of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Malaysia, Fellow of the Malaysian Academy of Sciences, and President of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology, to deliver a keynote speech titled "Artificial Intelligence and Holistic Education" at the Science Hall for teachers and students of our university. This academic lecture under the "Academician Campus Tour" series was hosted by the Graduate Studies Office and the Faculty Affairs Office, organized by the School of Architecture and Art, and moderated by Professor Xia Haishan. He encouraged us to confront the changes of the times with an upward and benevolent mindset, and to reflect on and rediscover the meaning of learning, life, and existence from the perspectives of moral cultivation, personality development, and talent nurturing. The lecture was ambitious in conception, profound in content, and highly academic and inspiring, helping teachers and students stay abreast of the latest developments and research achievements at the forefront of science and technology, and actively adapt to the profound impact of the changing times on education.
