On the first day of the conference, ten renowned scholars from environment-behavior research and relevant fields all over the world were invited to give keynote speeches, including Prof. Guangtian Zou, Prof. Xuemei Zhu, Prof. Li Zhang, Prof, Yanwei Chai, Prof. Webster Christopher John, Prof. Richard Fleming, Prof. Jiang Bin, Prof. Ricardo Garcia Prof. Mira, Ryuzo Ohno, and Prof. Qiang Sheng. The topics covered recent studies in multidisciplinary fields, including the psychology of environmental behavior, urban form and walkability, the urban human-factor-engineering, activity in virtual space, density and human behavior, environment and mental health, environment- behavior to strengthen social resilience, the morphology of local shops, etc.

Prof. Guangtian Zou from Harbin Institute of Technology was the first keynote speaker and his presentation was titled "Preliminary ideas on establishing a framework for environmental behavior psychology". The speech reviewed the history of environmental psychology and environmental behavior, famous scholars and their classic literature, and elaborated on the importance of establishing environmental behavior psychology. Particularly, he shared his latest research on environmental behavior psychology framework and model.

Prof. Xuemei Zhu from Texas A&M University gave the speech entitled "Design healthy buildings and walkable communities for active living". Prof. Zhu focused on the impacts of environmental design on healthy lifestyles and introduced the theoretical background, research framework, and practical needs. Her speech was focused on healthy communities, workplaces, and schools.

Prof. Li Zhang from Tsinghua University gave the speech entitled "Retrospect to the evidence-based design and its inspiration for architectural education ", which mainly included the following three aspects: the debate on the identity of architecture, the historical tracing of empirical evidence in design, and the empirical evidence analysis using human-factor-engineering of contemporary design.

Prof. Yanwei Chai from Peking University gave a speech entitled " Theoretical research of urban physical-virtual activity system". The report began with an introduction to the digital transformation of human society and then focused on the research framework and interaction research of urban virtual activity systems.

Prof. Webster Christopher John of The University of Hong Kong (HKU) gave a speech entitled “Urban density and human behavior”, which elaborated on the relationship between environment and behavior from three aspects: macro-control and market mechanism regulation of urban design, the intervention of scientific and technological methods and natural environment perception.

Prof. Richard Fleming from the University of Wollongong, Australia, gave the speech entitled "Design, dignity, and dementia: Using the built environment to enhance the well-being of People with cognitive impairment", focusing on the relationship between the environment and special groups, and exploring the intrinsic correlation between environment and human cognition through the follow-up studies.

Associate Prof. Bin Jiang of the University of Hong Kong gave the report entitled "Urban environment and mental health: Theoretical and empirical study", elaborating on his empirical study about coupling relationship between urban environment and mental health.

Prof. Ricardo Garcia Mira from the University of A Coruna Spain gave the lecture entitled "Applied research for sustainability transitions: The role of environmental psychology", and explained applied research for sustainability from the perspective of environmental psychology application.

The speech of Prof. Takashizo Ohno from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, entitled "How can environmental-behavior studies contribute to enhancing social resilience to disasters, including pandemics", analyzed many ways to strengthen social resilience under the specific environment like disasters including pandemics from the perspective of environmental behavior.

Prof. Qiang Sheng from Beijing JiaoTong University gave the speech entitled "Location, flow and agglomeration: Decoding the spatial DNA for the changing local shops”. He introduced his team’s research achievements in the past ten years on community business based on multi-source big data and field research, including the definition of community business, spatial distribution law, urban-rural comparison, and temporal and spatial changes and formation mechanisms under external disturbances (governance and epidemic).

On the evening of 19 November 2022, the “Environment-Behavior Teaching Exchange Forum” chaired by Prof. Hui He from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, was successfully held online. Prof. Yan Wang from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Prof. Yuan Li from Xiamen University, Prof. Xia Zhang from Wuhan University, Associate Prof. Xiaoling Dai from Zhejiang University of TechnologyProf. Haofeng Wang from Shenzhen University, Associate Prof. Yilin Song from Tianjin University, and Prof. Qiang Sheng from Beijing JiaoTong University attended the online forum, and had an open-minded sharing and discussion over the topic “Environment-Behavior Research in a Multi-Value Context”. The detailed aspects mainly included: how to make the best us of environment-behavior studies under an interdisciplinary vision, how to coordinate scientific research and teaching in the direction of environment-behavior, and how to build path between environment-behavior, design and other competition courses.

On the morning of 20 November 2022, four Parallel Sessions were simultaneously held online. Reporters from 34 domestic and foreign universities and scientific research institutions including Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Southeast University, Tianjin University, Beijing Jiaotong University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Nagoya University, Hiroshima University, Hong Kong Chinese University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, etc., participated in the sessions and shared their latest research about environment-behavior.
